After my brother nearly drowned at the age of two slipping down into a stream in a holiday camp site with only the lightening speed reactions of my mum resulting in him being saved, it will always be close to my heart that children learn to swim as early as possible. Once my little one is born, she will be in that pool at 4 weeks old - unafraid and most importantly safe.

I think its great to get children swimming early on - great fun for mother & baby!
by Sopey 14th May 2010, 3:48pm
This would be the perfect prize for my new born baby and I to bond in the water. I can not swim, following a horrific incident in a canoe when I was four. This will give me the courage to help them swim too.
by mariawi 14th May 2010, 3:47pm
Think this is a fantastic idea. Hope to get one for Libby!
by lizweb20 14th May 2010, 3:44pm
i think its good to take your baby swimming as earliest as u can, my mum took me when i was 4months old and ive been a strong swimmer since, with first aid certificite under my belt, and no im not a life guard before u ask lol just wanted to learn it. my mate didnt go to a swimming pool/the sea till he was in high school and cannot swim at all as he finds it too hard to understand or get a grip on how to do it as he was an older age. ive even had to save him once. .... im due in a week and will take my lil boy as soon as i can =]

I can't wait until my baby is old enough to come swimming! I was a water-baby when I was little, I hope Victor will be too!
by Faylalu 14th May 2010, 3:34pm
My daughter was in the pool from 3 months and loves it.
by daisybeebee 14th May 2010, 3:33pm
I found the earlier you introduce swimming to your beautiful baby the easier it is. Ive had to children, a boy or should i say a young man, (now 22yrs) who I took swimming from him being a matter of just a few weeks old and he loves swimming and is very good and obviously safer in the water.

My daughter who is 3and half, I did not take swimming early and i now have a fight on my hands every time i take her, which I must admit, I dread at times.

I would LOVE to win this prize as my little girl used to love swimming but the last few times I've taken her she wasn't at all happy. So perhaps this prize would help. I really want to keep taking her, and I want her to love the water as much as I do.
by coopes05 14th May 2010, 3:07pm
I love taking my son swimming, he just wants to do it all his self. He is 2 years old in 4weeks and he has so much confidence. I love the happy nappies they prevent accidents and are not like others which just fill up with water.
by saz2008 14th May 2010, 3:06pm
my James has been swimming from 3 months, now 18 months he swims on his own with armbands. So its about time he got a proper costume!

happy nappies are fantastic for leak free lessons - my daughter (almost 2) has been wearing them for her swimming lessons and they really do work. The wetsuit will be fantastic to keep the next one warm ;o)

My eldest son now 2.5 is already swimming under the water & has much more confidence than me. Swimming was the best thing we did with him & he loves it!
by Rosiemum 8th Feb 2010, 9:20am
Learning to swim is a fun thing to do and is a great way to keep fit. It builds children's confidence and parents the security that their children can swim.
by sheks 8th Feb 2010, 9:20am
I have used the wraps before and they are excellent, keeping the wee one warm in the pool and so making the whole experience more enjoyable for the - no tears since we started using one!!!
by raf 8th Feb 2010, 9:19am
haven't had one i so wish i could share, well i am hoping for no disappointments if i may win one for my little one, then i will share.
by mihlali 8th Feb 2010, 9:19am
Though I can barely swim myself, I regularly attended aqua natal classes when I was pregnant with my daughter, and then took her swimming as a baby. She grew up to love swimming, and swam competitively as a teenager. Even though she stopped to concentrate on her studies, she still loves swimming, and swims regularly for fun and fitness. I thoroughly recommend introducing babies to swimming, as the love of it stays with them which is great for health and happiness.
