VTech First Steps baby walker

Find out why we think VTech's take on the baby walker is a bargain that you can't afford to miss.

Discuss vtech first steps baby walker on our forums, right now! Or, post a comment below.

Features:
  • Lightweight baby walker with detachable activity centre

  • Designed to help your baby take their first steps and encourage the development of basic motor and coordination skills

  • Suitable from 6 months to 30 months+

  • Easy to assemble and fold away and store

  • Requires 3 x AA batteries to run
VTech's take on the baby walker is lightweight yet sturdy enough to provide your baby with the support they need to take their first steps. Unlike many baby walkers, this isn't a 'sit in' model, instead VTech have gone for a safer 'push along' version that encourages the development of your baby's leg muscles, balance and coordination skills.

The easy grip handle makes the First Steps walker easy to steer even for those who are still unsure on their feet and the textured wheels prevent the walker from 'running away' so it only moves as fast as your baby is able to walk which is a definite plus.

However, while the walker features on the VTech first step are nothing less than impressive, its real selling point is the detachable learning centre that it carries. This sits on the front of the walker but is complete removable making it much more flexible for play time and suitable for younger infants too.

The learning centre features a whole host of activities designed to stimulate your baby's development and to keep them entertained. From the removable, rattling 'roll play' phone to the light up musical buttons and rolling discs the learning centre introduces words (in an English accent), numbers, shapes, animals and colours to your baby. It also features 5 different musical styles including sung songs and fun melodies.

All in all the VTech First Steps baby walker is a bargain, its a fantastic toy that will entertain babies from a young age and will still remain a firm favourite once you little one is up and moving around by themselves. What's more, unlike many walkers its designed not only to develop the balance and coordination skills your baby needs to walk but also focuses on developing your baby's motor skills too, effectively giving you two toys in one - in our opinion its a winner.
