An orthodontic model is said to be better for developing teeth and gums, but your baby may prefer the original rounder model. Latex dummies are softer and more flexible than silicone, but do not last as long. The more expensive models have features such as perforations in the plastic that allow air to flow to your baby's skin. If you plan to purchase a dummy for your baby it is wise to buy more than one so you can change them regularly and sterilise the spare ones. Keep an eye on your baby's dummies and throw them away at the first sign of wear. |
