Shampoo shields

Advice on what to look for when you are buying a shampoo eye shield to use when your baby is in the bath

Discuss shampoo shields on our forums, right now! Or, post a comment below.

Many babies don't like being submerged in water when it comes to bath time, let alone have soapy liquid poured over their head. A shampoo shield provides a relatively inexpensive way to make bath time more pleasant and enjoyable for both you and your baby.

Shampoo shields resemble the brim of a hat and ideally fit snuggly around your baby's head, preventing shampoo or water from running down over their face. They are usually made from reinforced foam, noeprene or nylon and are available in a range of colours.

Shampoo shields enable you to get your baby used to the sensation of having their hair washed while protecting their eyes. This helps to relax your baby whilst building their confidence, providing a good step to tears free hair washing.
