hi. my 9 month old son, Jake, has been on solids now from him being six months old. he enjoys his food and always finishes every last bit. my problem is when i try him with any kind of finger food, i.e toast, pieces of fruit, carrot etc, he gags and chokes to the point of him being sick. he's used to lumps in his food which he eats with no trouble at all but just can't seem to be able to swallow any type of finger food. please help xx lianne

asilscott- i had the same problems wiv my son he wouldn't eat anything lumpy except mashed banana. As he liked banana so much i mixed the lumpier food with it and gradually reduced the amount i put in and now he will eat anything lumpy. Maybe you could try this with your son with whatever his favourite food is i even used the fruit purees to mix in that you can buy in shops. Hope this helps :)
