Rockspie,
You have to make sure the brackets are set in line before you can click it in to face forward...it's in the manual but it's not very clear....YOU have to press in the button move the bracket with your hands till they are in line, Then it should click in.
QUinny's are definately not worth the money they cost..
My son is now 1 year and 2 months.. Althought the Quinny was great in the beginning with the car seat, The bigger the child get's the harder it is to control.. I still use mine all the time but it's only because I can't afford to buy a new buggy.
It is a night mare for public transport especially since they brougth in the new one buggy upright rule. IF you are alone it is almost impossible to collapse it down unless you hand your child to a complete stranger to hold and also there is no spce to out the collapsed buggy when you actually get on the bus...
SO I would defiantley not recommend the quinny to anyone...
I paid 700 euro for my complete system, Buggy, carry cot and car seat......... I wish I'd have spent the money on something else......

it is mentioned that you can collapse and unfold the quinny pushchair, well unless you regularly do a lot of weightlifting, then good luck. It may collapse with hydraulic power but you have to use all your strength to push the chassis down.
As for compact, Because the wheels stick out quite far i find myself bumping into furniture when i bring it indoors so would imagine it would be cumbersome using it on public transport, unless you had some one
with you to hold the baby, while you are busy grappling with taking the seat or carseat on and off. I find
this extremley hard to do so have to get my partner to do this whenever we go any where in the car.
I bought mine from Mothercare and i did not get the mosquito net and wind stoppers? as standard.
