Pregnancy week 9

Early stage of pregnancy symptoms at week 9 of being pregnant - You will probably be noticing how many times you go to the toilet during the night as your womb presses on your bladder.

Discuss pregnancy week 9 on our forums, right now! Or, post a comment below.

You

You may notice a thickening of your waistline this week, though you probably wont look any different to other people. You will probably be noticing how many times you go to the toilet during the night as your womb presses on your bladder. Cut down on tea, coffee and other drinks containing caffeine, but not your general fluid intake. Hormonal changes can affect your sense of taste and digestion, and your ligaments have begun to soften to prepare your baby for the growth and expansion that lies ahead. It is normal to develop a tracery of veins at this stage, but you may have noticed them earlier.

Your baby

Your baby is beginning to move her arms and legs. The eyelids are closed tightly over the developing eyes and the face is very human looking. Your baby's liver is producing red blood cells which are pumped around the body by the tiny heart. Your baby's heart has four chambers and beats twice as fast as yours. Muscles are developing so a scan would now show real movement. Your baby is now about the size of a jelly baby.

I had a scan done 3 days ago as i had abit of a scare, but luckily everything is fine. Funnily enough my baby is the size roughly of a jelly bean and was moving around. It was amazing to see especially the heart beat. This is my second child and I have to say yes my waist line has got thicker and i feel like i'm filling out alot quicker this time (not to happy about um!) I'm very tired at the moment and could sleep allday and my skin is a little spotty and i really need to wee at night ha ha, hopefully this will pass soon. Apart from that i am enjoying the pregnancy very much. Good luck with yours too x
