Pregnancy week 26

Pregnancy information: week 26 of being pregnant - Other people may feel your baby's kick under your bump and you'll probably feel her movements every day.

Discuss pregnancy week 26 on our forums, right now! Or, post a comment below.

You

Go to the dentist for a check up if you have not been in the last three months, if you need any work there is still time before your baby is born. Other people may feel your baby's kick under your bump and you'll probably feel her movements every day. You may feel like you are going to tip over because of the weight you are carrying at the front of your body, and you may have problems tying shoelaces or driving.

Your hair normally grows in a growth/loss cycle, but hair loss slows in pregnancy so it appears thicker. The extra hair starts dropping when your baby is about three months old. Invest in a haircut that will be easy to maintain once your baby is born.

Your baby

Your baby will have a major growth spurt from now until 29 weeks. By 26 to 28 weeks the lungs are more ready to breathe if your baby was to be born early. Your baby's heartbeat has dropped to an average of 150 beats a minute now. Boys tend to have rates below this and girls above.

Yeah I have found the same, although I have started to get tired in the last couple of weeks, the doctor has now signed me off work for a few days to recharge my batteries!!

They say the 2nd trimester is when you should feel brilliant, but I never!! I never knew how tiring pregnancy would be and it's only gona get worse now untill the birth!! Oh well I can't for my husband and me to meet our son!!

I suddenly felt that wk 25 was a breeze, then wk 26 came and I seemed to tire easier, have more indigestion, had my first braxton hicks (which freaked me out!), constant broken sleep and a new natural waking time of between 5-6am every morning! my ankles and feet have really swelled today too, I can't get my ring off my finger and keep getting tingling/numbness in my hands/arms in the night.

The only bonus is that my boob size has gone up again - the best thing about being pregnant so far!! :O)
