Pregnancy week 22

Pregnancy calendar: week 22 of being pregnant - Your bump is getting bigger, but it's important to stay active.

Discuss pregnancy week 22 on our forums, right now! Or, post a comment below.

You

If you suffer from bad cramps, drinking more milk or eating bananas may help. Your bump is getting bigger, but it's important to stay active, try not to arch your back to compensate for the extra in front. Swap from high impact fitness activities such as jogging or aerobics to swimming, yoga or walking.

Your baby

Your baby is now the size of an envelope. Your baby's eyebrows and head hair will be growing. The skin is translucent, pink-red in colour and wrinkled. If you are carrying a girl she will have about seven million eggs in her ovaries, the genetic imprint for your generation for your future grandchildren. Nipples appear on both sexes.
