Outhwaite reveals joy of motherhood

British actress Tamzin Outhwaite, who gave birth to her first child in June, says that she loves being a mother and that looking after a baby is easier than she thought it would be. The 37-year-old former Eastenders star named her daughter Florence Elsie and admits that she had wanted a baby for a long time. She and her husband, the actor Tom Ellis, who also starred in the BBC soap, have both taken four months off work in order to spend time with their new daughter and Tamzin says that she is enjoying ever second of it.

"I'm absolutely loving being a mum but I'm feeling guilty that it's not as difficult as I thought it would be," she told the Daily Mirror.

The blonde star says that many of her friends already have babies and had warned her that she would be exhausted, stressed and that her relationship would totally change.

But Tamzin says that she has not experienced any problems with Florence and that she thinks it's important to keep a sense of humour when you're up to your elbows in nappies.

"She's so easy. I imagine if she was a stressful baby it would be different, but she's good so far," she explained.
