Hollywood actress Naomi Watts has delivered her second child, another baby boy.

The 40-year-old King Kong star gave birth to the baby, whose name and weight have not been released, on Saturday.

She and her partner Liev Schreiber (41) already have a young son named Alexander (Sasha) Pete and Naomi's second delivery comes just 16 months after his birth.

A representative for the couple said: "I can confirm Naomi and Liev had a baby boy."

The couple met in 2005 at the New York's Museum Of Modern Art's Costume Institute Gala and the went on to co-star in the movie The Painted Veil, which was filmed in China.

Liev recently admitted that he was somewhat nervous about the prospect of having two children under two years old in the house.

"I can't imagine having two, I need my sleep. But, if he's anything like Sasha, how could you resist?" he told Bang Media.

Kent-born Naomi urged women to start their families early, saying that she thinks she has left it too late and that she would love to have more children.

She said: "Honestly, have a baby. It's the best! I left it too late. I'd love to have one more. I'd love to have two more. Or three!"
