MyDummy personalised dummies

About:   MyDummy offer an exclusive range of personalised dummies that are designed to make your life easier and your little one's life that little bit healthier.

Their high quality dummies can be engraved with up to two lines of text so you can choose to have them printed with your baby's name or nickname, ensuring that they are easily identified as your baby's own and helping to prevent daycare dummy mix ups and the spread of germs.

Available in a range of funky colours and with a selection of styles available (including orthodontic, symmetrical and cherry shaped), these dummies will stand the test of time and keep their vibrant shades and clear print no matter how many times you sterilise them.

My Dummy's selection encompasses top of the range dummies from NUK and NUBY among others and they even have a designer line where everything from pirate to tiara prints can help make your baby's dummies unique.

The review: (Tested by Sandra & Ryan)

At the moment I try to use Ryan's dummies just to settle him to sleep in the hope that he doesn't get too attached however if we're still using them when I return to work in another couple of months I can definitely see the benefit of going down the personalised route.

Even when Ryan's cousins come over dummies seem to get mixed up so I can really appreciate the need for this in a daycare situation, especially as i'm a bit of a clean freak and wouldn't really like the thought of him sucking on another child's dummy.

The dummies themselves appear to be good quality and have stood up well to my 'cleaning regime' with no sign of wear or tear so far. However, I'd have to say that if I were to use them in an 'out of the house' situation i'd probably prefer to have a symbol or nickname printed on them rather than Ryan's name although I can appreciate that if you had twins named dummies could be a complete godsend.

All in all I'd have to say that if you regularly use dummies it would be well worth investing in some personalised ones as they're no more expensive than a regular high quality dummy and will help make sure that your baby comes home from childcare, nursery or even a friend's house with the dummy they left with.

Personally I could never see the point of personalised dummies, I just wrote my child's name on their normal dummies with a CD writing pen. This took about 4 days to wear off then when I'd sterlilsed the dummy, I'd write the name back on again. Also useful for naming other stuff that may one day be used by a different child.
