Mummy blogs increasingly popular

Blogging has fast become a growing trend among new parents wanting to share their baby and parenting experiences with other mums and dads.

This Mothering Sunday as many as 175,000 new blogs are expected to launch, with over half written by women, according to Talking Tots.

Commenting on the new popular trend, Tracey Park, co-founder of the pre-school activity provider, said: "Being a mum can be isolating sometimes, but blogging provides the perfect way to reach out to other parents going through similar experiences.

"For many parents, blogs provide a safe, supportive place where they can have a laugh, support each other, and share ideas about raising their families."

Communicating with other parents and even family members is important to help first-time mums and dads adjust to life with a newborn and make the most of those special early days, childcare experts advise.

Last year, research found that women between the ages of 24 and 35 tend to spend more time online than their male counterparts.
