Quirky singer-songwriter MIA has rejected rumours that she has decided to name her newborn Ickitt. The first-time mum gave birth to a son with fiance, musician Benjamin Brewer on February 11th, after performing at the 2009 Grammy Awards. In response to recent showbiz reports, the 31-year-old star wrote on her MySpace blog: "My baby is not called Ickitt, Pickit or Lickit thank you very much to all the Hollywood press.

"He's a baby, he don't need press! I didn't release the baby name because I didn't think it was news. But I will be back with something newsworthy soon."

The Sri-Lankan artist reportedly went into labour just hours after her Grammy performance. She received two nominations on the night for her tracks Paper Planes and Swagga Like Us.

Announcing the birth, she posted on her blog that the baby boy was "healthy, fine, beautiful, and the most amazing thing on this planet".
