Kate Garraway craving marmite, beetroot

GMTV presenter Kate Garraway has revealed the unusual cravings she is experiencing with her current pregnancy.

The 41-year-old journalist is expecting her second baby with husband of three years, psychotherapist Derek Draper, in July.

"I've been wanting Marmite and beetroot – I'm munching on something all the time," she told Now magazine.

"I don't know whether it's craving or greed, but I put it down to craving. Although you pay for it after when you're the size of a house. Your body puts on weight for a reason and you need those reserves."

Kate is already mum to two-year-old daughter Darcey, who was born in London in March 2006.

After giving birth to Darcey, Kate was diagnosed with an overactive thyroid - a common condition in new mums - as she lost over three stones of baby weight in a relatively short period of time.

She appeared in the fifth series of Strictly Come Dancing at the end of 2007.
