Advice on packing your maternity bag for hospital with a useful labour check list.

two nightdresses/shirts with front opening for breastfeeding
light dressing gown/slippers
two loose cotton tops
two pairs of stretchy leggings
two nursing bras/support bras

Toiletries for you

eye gel
body wash/soap
styling products
hand-held mirror
body lotion
stretch mark cream
cotton wool pads
two packs of disposable briefs
24 maternity towels
Please note that what you'll need will depend on the length of your stay and what your local hospital supplies

lip salve

baby bath

loose change

Going home bag

outdoor/going home clothes and shoes
outdoor suit, booties, hat, mittens

after i giv birth i had a shower so packin shampoo etc was essential but to make it easier i got the mini travel sized bottles so it was less bulky to carry.

Wow this is my first child and I had no idea I would need that much for going to the hosipital. But i wont need exactly all of that because Im doing adoption and wont be bringing my baby home.

I think this list is way too big!! I have been told to pack essentials only - like pjamas for me, and babygroes for the baby and thats it really. Oh some towels for the bleeding and something to wear home. Simple!!

most of the things here r jus so ufeel normal again after labour n birth like hair products n a hair brush... imagine the state of u not havin those lol. n the lip salve or vaseline watever u wanna use is important as wen ur pushin ur pantin n ur lips do get extremely dry, the face spray for wen u get hot n sweat it cools u down.. other things likee cleanser n toner ... if u dnt uually use em u dnt really need em' :)

This list is very helpful especially for new moms like me! I had no idea that I would need these things! I thought that you just go and they take care of you! Silly me! Thanks
