Baby tops

Advice on what to look for when you are buying tops, T-shirts or turtlenecks for your baby plus the opportunity to purchase a range of humerous, personalised, funny and plain t-shirts.

Discuss baby tops on our forums, right now! Or, post a comment below.

When buying tops ensure that the neck opening is big enough, many T-shirts or turtlenecks have poppers so that they slip over your baby's head easily.

Many parents like tops and vests with poppers at the crotch, which make dressing and changing easier. Elasticised wrists will keep larger sized clothing from slipping over you child's hands.

When buying tops consider cotton, synthetics can irritate your newborn's delicate skin. Cotton clothes are likely to shrink at least one size if put in the tumble dryer.

Separate tops and trousers will give you the option of changing an item without putting on a whole new outfit.

When buying matching items, such as skirts or trousers, for tops you already have, cut a small swatch from the inside hem and take it with you shopping.
