Baby skirts

Advice on what to look for when choosing skirts for your baby, plus the opportunity to purchase a range of baby skirts and other clothing for your little girl.

Discuss baby skirts on our forums, right now! Or, post a comment below.

Skirts provide a fantastically versatile way of dressing your little girl. Not only do they look really cute, they also make nappy changing time easy (make sure you pull the whole skirt up above the waist to avoid getting it messy). Additionally, skirts can be worn with a range of different top and tight combinations to create different 'looks' for your little one, help you easily adjust clothing to temperature and also avoid having to change your baby's whole outfit if just their top gets messy.

You should look for skirts made out of soft, durable material that can be easily washed. Ensure the waist is not too tight. Soft knits can be changed more easily. Skirts that flare around the bottom make it easier for your baby to move around without restricting movement of the legs at all.

I'd avoid skirts for small babies. They tend to ride up & twist around the waist if you have an active daughter like mine. Pinafores are much easier.
