Advice on what to look for when buying baby coats and jackets, plus the opportunity to purchase a range of baby coats including knitted and winter varieties.
Fleece is a comfortable material for your baby's coat. The warmest winter coat covers your baby's bottom. Avoid loose fitting coats which could get caught either inside or outdoors. Make sure shaped buttons fit through and stay in the buttonholes.
If you are buying a raincoat choose one with a soft lining. Though it may cost more it will be more comfortable than a stiff, unlined plastic raincoat.
If your baby prefers to be swaddled, try buying a snowsuit or coat, zip him inside and let the arms of the snowsuit or coat dangle.
