Fleece is a comfortable material for your baby's coat. The warmest winter coat covers your baby's bottom. Avoid loose fitting coats which could get caught either inside or outdoors. Make sure shaped buttons fit through and stay in the buttonholes.

If you are buying a raincoat choose one with a soft lining. Though it may cost more it will be more comfortable than a stiff, unlined plastic raincoat.

If your baby prefers to be swaddled, try buying a snowsuit or coat, zip him inside and let the arms of the snowsuit or coat dangle.

I usually buy the jacket for her chic and simple, can keep warm in temperatures up high, I like the simple no frills, and she enjoys wearing.

I think snowsuits are good when it's really cold, but other than that I always dressed my boys in a cosy cardigan and blankets, especially when they are newborn as they get really hot.

Now that the weather is getting warm I'm not sure what sort of coat Rachel should be wearing, I've found a nice one in an online store that I'd love to get her but would like other opinions. Forgot to add- it's the green one on the british little nut tree site. Has anyone heard of them?
