Baby bath toys

Advice on what to look for when buying baby bath toys to entertain your little one in the tub plus the opportunity to purchase a range of bath toys including rubber ducks and bubbles.

A whole array of bath toys are available to purchase and although your baby may not notice bath toys to begin with, once your baby is able to sit up unaided, bath toys can really help make bath times fun.

Little animals that float in water are easy for babies to grasp and make a good first bath toy. Boats and submarines are also popular, as are wind up toys that appear to swim around the bath.

Look for toys that pour water from one container to another or spray jets. You could also try a bath activity centre. These attach to the side of your bath with suction cups, and are a fun way to teach your toddler how water can propel wheels and make things happen.

Many babies do not enjoy being bathed, however having a soft bath toy to hold and squeeze may help to distract and calm them. A bath time duck is always a popular choice, consider a PVC-free variety for safe bath time fun.

A bath time duck is a must but make sure it floats properly. The cheap ones topple over :)
